![]() ![]() It also shows you, when you click on a species, the baits and lures that species likes. You can use this to see all the fish species and types (Young, Common, Trophy, Unique) that are available at a particular fishing spot. If you look at your map tab (not the actual map) when paused when you're at a fishing location, you should see "Fish Species" as one of the sub tabs on the left hand side. Smallmouth are also caught in the large northern part of the lake, like catfish. If you don't have a feeder rod yet, just use your float rod and using semolina balls you should eventually get one. Smallmouth Buffalo can also be caught with feeder rods, but rather than pet food, use semolina balls. Using a feeder rod to put pet food at the bottom of that deep hole is a sure way to hook catfish. You can use a marker to mark that hole on the map, and you can then see the float marker when you're aiming your cast. You'll notice that there's a deep hole on the north side of the lake. When you're at the lake, hit the M key to bring up your map. Looking forward to eharing what you guys have to say! I'm mostly curious about bait, lures and hook sizes, as that's what I seem to hear the most variation in online. You can either make your leader as long as possible for a float rod, or you can use a feeder rod (uses sinkers to put your bait on the bottom). ![]() Unfortunately, as you know, I've got limited tackle and rod room (Currently limited to 3 rods until I get some more money). But I figured this would be a really neat trip. Right now my max fish weight is 13 lbs, so I may have to hold off until level 24 for some monsters. ![]() I'm mostly interested in the larger stuff - Gars, Bass, Drum, Tarpon and those bigger cats. I know this is open ended, but what kinds of tackle should I be taking there in order to make the most of my time? I'd like to try and stay for a few days to make some money back and level up, but usually my first trip to a location is a bust, and I'm saving up for a kayak and would rather not waste the money. I'm a level 20 angler looking to make my way to the Everglades for fishing here on FP for the first time. I've a not-so quick question for you all. ![]()
